its way overpriced for what you get, the add shows great pool, soon as I paid a 200 dollar resort fee, im walking away and she says thier pool is closed for season. although I had to go to my friends pool at tropicanna to enjoy that. parking costs too. my keys didnt work well and I had to go down 10 floors and walk accross casino to get another. $15 minimum to play rollette? wtf.

"Long Check In at the Rio."

We booked a room at the Rio after a late flight into Las Vegas on Oct 17th. We arrived shortly after midnight, thinking check in would be quick but were sorely mistaken. After prepaying for a room, we still stood in line for an hour to get our keys. We had reserved a room with a king bed and were told it wasn't available, so were given two queens, but on a higher floor with a view (they said this was an upgrade). Overall, we probably won't stay at the Rio again. It was after one am before we got our room and we were exhausted. The rooms are large and comfortable with big bathrooms and our view was great but the Rio needs an upgrade.

Our room size was large and so was the bathroom. Probably the only thing that was good about it. We were pretty disappointed because they didn’t have a crib/playpen for our three week old baby. We were only given three pillows for the two of us, asked for extra pillows several times. They said they were out the entire time (5 day stay) and offered extra sheets to fold up instead; are you kidding me? A hotel this size should have extra pillows on hand. They need to order more. House keeping would just walk in unannounced. The last day of our stay was the only day they actually knocked and announced themselves. With that said, we had extended our checkout time to 4pm. And housekeeping argued with me about whether I actually had extended it or not. I think I would know if I went down there and extended it or not. There’s no need for an argument. The room could also use a trash can. They had two small trash cans in the bathroom but none in the room itself. They don’t have any plugs near the bed to charge devices. These are all small details that aren’t necessarily deal breakers for us but just kind of frustrating and annoying in the moment. They do have free parking though, which was really nice.

There was a party a couple door down. The walk to our room was smokey with a skunk smell. The entire hallway was smokey. The people were very loud and the dwell was penetrating cause my husband and I coughing and buring of our eyes. We were not able to sleep until four am.

There was no way to beat the room price we got. We stayed there for a week and was very happy with the size and cleanliness of our room. Housekeeping and staff is great. There's two floors of shops and some great restaurants and even shows at the hotel. BUT ITS ALL CLOSED! There's a handful of restaurants open only certain days or hours, they give you a schedule for the week. So we coukdnt wake up and go eat at the hash house for breakfast had to go to the same bar and grill that everyone else is going to.1 breakfast place. Smashburger supposedly opens at 10 we thought we'd eat there to avoid the crowd at the one breakfast place, but they did not open at 10. Still all dark in there at 10am so we had to get in our car go drive to a place for breakfast. And shows and shops and tea when we should have had this at our fingertips and just not had to leave. We shopped and dined and saw shows at other hotels.Only one pool was open. So I don't understand why I was charged a $50 per night resort fee when everything that made this a "resort" was not usable. Wow was cancelled, Penn and teller cancelled, stores, restaurants closed. I want my resort fee back.

I did not have any good experience at Rio. Bad service, couldn't use pools at all since they close at 6pm and doesn't open till 10am.

Since we got to our rooms we had problems, I rented two rooms one of the room have a plumbing problems. The second do not have toilet paper and towels also light bulb was not working. We went down to the lobby and talked to the front desk manager and we suggested that he change our rooms since the ones he had given us were not 100% ready. he refused to provide us with new rooms. He offered to immediately fix the plumbing problem and then he would send the maid to clean. The pluming was fixed but the maid never came to clean. for two days the two rooms were not taken care from the maid or anyone else in the hotel. Not sure what happen in the hotel I previously stay and I never had this type of problems before. ! on top of this we when to the pool and the bar tender give us a very bad attitude, I spoke to the pool/Bar supervisor not sure if he did anything about it but I told him that he can not have a person like that in the from of a business, he is part of Rio Face little and details make a big problems. hope this help to improve the costumer service in the future, please feel free to contact me for any questions. Overall the hotel has a nice look. Though the rooms are a bit dated. But there are also stains over all the carpet and furniture. We weren’t able to get enough pillows for a kings bed even after asking room service for them. Also when it came to checking in, they had the kiosks turned off late at night which caused a 2.5 hour wait at the front desk.

I would say this Hotel is 0 Star Rating. I have stayed five days in this hotel and no housekeeper came in for cleaning. Then one day when I called them and requested for housekeeping only then they got it cleaned and next day again nobody came. Rooms are Smelly, Towels are smelly and even washroom’s exhaust fans are not working and no room service. This is my humble request to not to book this hotel ever.

We booked through entertainment and the total was supposed to be $86.12 but then got the itinerary in our email and they charged us $120. Got to the hotel room and it had carpet all over and our A/C was broken. Asked to upgrade or change our room and changed to two queen beds instead of a king bed but the second room was a little nicer than the previous. Called and asked for more pillows since I was traveling with two small children and I am pregnant. They had no available pillows so we only had the three very flat pillows to use. Asked for extra towels and blankets but they never arrived to our room. The registration people were nice but overall the rooms are not great and the service wasn’t great as well. I most likely would not stay here again.

You told us in email confirmations and in text receipts that our check in time at the Rio was 3:00. We arrived at that time to check into our two rooms and the hotel front desk told us check in is at 4:00 and we needed to pay an early check in fee in order to get access. We had just driven seven hours on the road and times it to get in at the check in time you told us, 3:00. My mother in law was with us and is in a wheel chair so she desperately needed to get into her room. Even though I showed the front desk your email confirmations and your texts saying that check in is at 3:00, they said they could do nothing about it. Also, the gentleman I spoke to via phone when making this two room reservation assured me repeatedly that I’d have two adjoining rooms. The hotel, however, kept telling me that they never guarantee those kinds of rooms and will only have to see if they have it available upon our check in. We will not be using Suitness.com or hotel planner ever again and will be cautioning others against it as well.

For the price I was expecting a nice room. It was very run down and dated Even the ceiling was stained. How the hell that happens no idea. My reservation had a checkin time of 3pm big and bold on the text the hotel sent. At check in at 310 they tried to change me 50 early check in fee. After an agreement they honored the checkin time they sent but “only this time”. Well they are right cause there will be never another stay.

This hotel is run down we found out after arrival that it was bought out and in limbo. They charge a ridiculous resort fee and there is hardly anything open and what was open was on reduced hours due to staffing issues. In regards to the staffing, we were told if we needed anything for our room we needed to come down for it, that included if we wanted clean sheets and towels. When we got to our room, someone had thrown up in the hallway, it took over 24 hours before it was cleaned up. The rooms were large but run down and smelled moldy. Strongly suggest that you look elsewhere and book closer to the strip.

The room wasn't bad it was clean and roomy. We never saw housekeeping our entire three night stay. (At the check in kiosk we requested housekeeping service) I don't understand the $39.00 a day resort fee, the pool was only opened 10 6, never got to use it. no coffee maker in the room, hardly any place to eat was opened so you were very limited of choices (Smashburger or Wetzel's Pretzels) (I wasn't going to pay their prices at the Voodoo Steakhouse ) We ended up going to South Point for our meals. No shuttle from or to the airport provided was provided by the hotel. The gift shop closed up early so if you needed something you had to leave the hotel. I don't understand 39.00 for a resort fee, this is a hotel NOT a resort !

I arrived at 11pm with plans to park with valet. I followed the signs and drove to the valet station. Nothing. I had a long day of travel and meetings, perhaps I had missed something so I drove back around. Again, nothing. I drove to the front doors asking about valet. I was told they don't do that. A drive to the parking lot and long walk with luggage was not how I wanted to end my day. The restaurants in the hotel. I know you are doing your best, but food was limited and lines are so long to get anything.

The check in process is very long, I understand due to the pandemic there is a shortage of help. The parking is unbearable and is not enough for the intake of individuals due to the fact that people who do not stay in a hotel come and park there also. In our first round 1046 we discovered we have bedbugs we had to switch roles to 1155. In the initial room 1046 it appear not to be clean I had to take my Lysol wipes that I brought with me to wipe down the tables and spray down the bathroom with the Lysol cleaner that I brought with me. The bathroom floor was sticky and dirty. Hands down this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in Las Vegas. For the price that I pay that room should’ve been immaculate with no incident of bedbugs!!Horrible.

Overall not very impressed. Amenities were partially closed or available at extra cost. Overall property looked like it was last remodeled in the 1980s. Elevators were a bit sketchy. They have an ongoing moisture or sewer issue on the casino floor near the WPT area causing a musty/sewer gas odor. Carpets stained and loose in places in hallway. Our room was not made up and ready at our check in time (we were compensated accordingly, so they made that right). Great view from the strip side upper floors was the best part of the experience.

We frequent Las Vegas often and I have never stayed at the Rio and now I know why! although the casino its self wasn't bad the rooms were bad. Old furniture that was in bad condition, wood peeling and dirty. Each piece covered by glass as if the glass was to prolong the life of it. The couch and the bench in the room both cream color, with enough dirt on them that I asked the house keeper for extra sheets to cover them so I wouldn't catch anything just by sitting on them. overall if you are considering stay at the Rio DON"T its a waste of money spend a couple dollars and stay across the street at the PALMS!

We booked on cyber Monday and reserved an unbeatable price. It was our first time staying at Rio and the front desk agent was friendly and accommodated our high floor request with a look out of the strip. One recommendation would be to update the signs leading you to park and register at the hotel reception because it clearly was incorrect and with a heavy flow of cars will only get worse. Overall, room was clean, you get the choice of opting out of housekeeping services and receive a $10 credit for a list of restaurants, blankets and pillows average and no microwave. 4/5 thanks Rio!

First room I was checked into had drapes attached to the headboard that stunk so strongly of urine it burned my eyes. When I called to report this the person on the phone politely said she would have someone come refresh the room which was laughable because they would have to rip down the drapes and replace them. We were then moved to another room and when entering, my shoes kind of stuck to the tile floor like maybe too much cleaner left on floor. Since it was late and We were tired, we stayed. We had breakfast at the Hash House a go go and the service was horrible. It took forever to get our order and when we did it was extremely cold. Cold scrambled eggs, really cold potatoes and bland mashed potatoes. Not to mention grounds in my coffee and a fork with leftovers in between the tines. I will not send food back due to things heard about what happens in restaurant kitchens when food is returned. The price is ridiculous at $16 for eggs, potatoes and a biscuit. I will not return.

We usually have a good experience staying at any of your properties and have stayed at the Rio many times and never had anything bad to say. This time was not good at all. We got to the hotel a little early before checkin time was so we decided to gamble. Around 10am we went to the front desk to see if we can do an early checkin because we were tired from traveling and I am a 100% Disabled Vet that is in a wheelchair. We first called from where we were gambling before we went to the front desk and asked if it is possible to do an early checkin and they told us yes but there is an extra charge for an early checkin. We said that would not be a problem so we thanked them and then proceeded to the front desk. When we got there we told the lady our situation and she said it wouldn't be okay to checkin at that time and we had to wait but she said she would call us when we can come back to checkin and it should only be about an hour or just a little longer. So we waited and waited while gambling but after 1,2,3,4 hours go by and no call. So my Son went up for us because my Wife and Me were extremely tired and a little upset. He went up and talked to a young lady at the self checkin kiosks and he told her the situation and she took care of us. My Son asked her how come we couldn't do an early checkin and she said that we said no to early checkin to the lady we spoke to earlier and was suppose to call us. The rooms were not well maintained. I contacted the Front Desk upon arrival regarding a broken handle on the entertainment cabinet and dysfunctional faucet handles. I missed the ability to brew my coffee in my own room and having my husband go a half mile to Starbucks which is very expensive every morning and he complained bitterly about that. I got a great price for $30/night but found out there was an additional $24 resort fee which was not stated. Nice hotel, huge, clean, nice rooms, typical casino, etc.

"Extra charges for everything, resort fee hidden cost, horrible!!"

I have stayed at many hotels, I am gold at Marriott, gold with SPG, silver at Hilton. I never had an extra charge for everything I asked for during my stay. I could not belive they charge extra for check-in before 4:00 o'clock. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

My wife and I had a wonderful time at the RIO. Room was excellent and the accommodations were just as great. Staff was awesome. Would recommend to everyone to stay at the RIO.
