Palmer House is so unique and beautiful and is within walking distance of the Art Institute and Navy Pier, plus great places to eat and shop. We love the hotel restaurant, as the food is delicious and service is outstanding. Our room with king bed on floor 16 was very clean and comfortable

Housekeeping did not clean our room after our first night. I figured they are mostly Hispanic and may be afraid to come to work. Other than that the stay was great. All the staff was welcoming and helpful. I’d stay again.

First time I’ve stayed downtown. This is a great hotel, with an unique history. What I liked most was that the staff, top to bottom, seems to enjoy their work. That is the kind of branding you can’t fake. I’ll be back.

Had a great stay at the Palmer House. Everyone was welcoming from the registration desk, the housekeeping and wait staff in the restaurant. Most of all it was quiet at night.

Spent three nights with my daughter for her spring break. The hotel couldn’t have been nicer! The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The Lockwood Restaurant was wonderful. The room was cleaned thoroughly every day. Everything worked well and the room was quiet. Couldn’t have been better.

The building has a very rich and historic feel to it. Overall, the greeting and feeling of warmth from the staff that works there was also lovely. The only thing that I would recommend changing is the ability to have room service later through the evening past 9 PM.
