"A Gem On The UWS"

The hotel is on 77th street and just around the corner from Broadway. It's a 2 block walk to the subway and a short walk to the Beacon Theatre & Lincoln Center. Walking into the hotel you get a classic NY feel, there's the exposed brick from the original construction in 1920s. The fireplace is surrounded by plush chairs and the bookshelves beg to be explored. LOCL, the in house bar just off the lobby, serves prohibition themed drinks to help you unwind after a day out or get you ready for a night out. Once on the floors the decor changes to a more modern feel with works from local artist prominently displayed. The hotel is an H shape allowing for natural light to flood the floors. The rooms are spacious and bright, white walls are accented with deep navy wall hangings, bleached wood furnishings get a pop from happily colored drawers. The hotel caters to a variety of guests and every group type will feel welcome & comfortable.

Our room was very clean and spacious and with an amazing view of Broadway avenue (we were on the 10th floor). The staff was always responsive and helpful. We really liked the complimentary coffee and pastry coupons, even though the coffee quality was below average. Lastly, the location was very convenient as the subway was only a two minute walk and had close connections to many other lines nearby. We felt very safe in this neighborhood. We are overall very satisfied with our stay and would definitely book this hotel again.

Super clean and friendly. Great for coffee and muffins in the morning and a nightcap before bed. Upper West is the most hospitable neighborhood in Manhattan.

The hotel has a very accommodating staff, eager to meet the needs of guests. The cafe in the lobby makes great sandwiches! The only fault I can mention is that the room was TINY. I felt a bit claustrophobic, but being on the upper west side was a plus.

after upgrading to a city view room I was given a great city view room only to be blocked by scaffolding and netting. I relayed my concern and was promptly upgraded to a nice room with a view and a balcony. the manager on duty was very hospitable and I greatly appreciate the quick response to my situation. I will be staying again soon thank you and Merry Christmas.
