As I entered the hotel, the lobby area was extremely spacious, clean and stunning with tile floors, large front desk, and a lot of seating. The breakfast area was very spacious and is located adjacent to the front desk. There is a catwalk overlooking the lobby from the second floor, a Wingate trademark, and gave me the appearance that this would be a great place for a bride to throw her wedding bouquet. This particular Wingate Hotel has extremely good TripAdvisor reviews, and it was apparent to me by the staff that I met, that they work very hard to ensure guest satisfaction and quality. I was given a tour of the hotel by the Director of Sales and the General Manager. The guest rooms are a traditional style, with plenty of space to move around, including a sitting area. They were clean and appeared to be very comfortable. The bathrooms were upgraded and had granite counter tops. Each room has a refrigerator, microwave, and flat panel television. The meeting rooms were clean, and the exercise room had several options for working out. Restaurants and shopping are all within walking distance as well as a short drive from the hotel. Overall, the staff at this hotel is superb and I highly recommend this hotel to any group looking for that extra TLC at a competitive price.
