"Great Grand Strand Hotel"

The hotel is centrally located on the Grand Strand and is only a few minutes north from the Boardwalk. The lobby area was adjacent to the parking deck with easy access. I was greeted with a friendly smile and quick response. The restaurant serves breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner for an additional charge. Guest rooms are exterior entrance. I viewed a one bedroom suite that had clean and fresh with nice simple furnishings. They appeared to be relatively newer furnishings and in great working order. All of the guest rooms had an ocean view and overlooked swimming pools and lazy river. The beach view was beautiful and the feel of the beach very tropical. Located on the northern end of Myrtle Beach provided a quieter atmosphere. Each room had an efficiency style kitchen with microwave and refrigerator. I entered through the bedroom and the window overlooked the back hallway area. The rooms had a small galley kitchen that I passed through to get to the living area. The hotel has 1,000 s.f. of function space. I would recommend this hotel for a nice peaceful and outdoors environment. Restaurants are within walking distance.

A/Cs are so noisy. The bedroom A/C was the worst. It made it hard for us to sleep. We wanted a vacuum after a couple of days but saw no housekeeping workers to ask on that day (Tuesday July 15th).

Our family has stayed multiple times every year for 56 straight. Never again! The hotel has diminished for five years and most especially since Best Western bought it out. No more personal touch at all.
