One night stay for Ironman. This place was exceptional! Friendly courteous staff, cozy rooms with comfy beds, easy access to downtown restaurants, lakes, walking trails plus more. I recommend staying here and I plan on returning in the near future.

I am a regular Hyatt customer and have stayed at the downtown madison Hyatt on several occasions. It is a quality hotel and in a good location for many of my Madison activities. However, I am repeatedly frustrated by the confusing situation for parking in the adjacent ramp. During my last three visits, I found myself unable to exit the ramp. There are two units to accept scanned room ticket and/or parking receipt…one for Hyatt customers and the other for all parking ramp users. During today’s visit, I was unable to exit the ramp, despite using my room key and parking receipt in both units. I am not sure my room key wouldn’t work…perhaps because I just checked out. I am not sure why the parking receipt wouldn’t scan. I had to exit my car and go to the front desk to address the situation. Paid parking should be simple, not complex. I plan to return to this Hyatt in September. If I have problems with parking during this visit, I simply will not stay at this hotel in the future.

Hyatt Place Madison/Downtown put the Hyatt Touch within your reach! Our hotel features 151 rooms and 2,500 square feet of meeting space. We also offer complimentary wi-fi internet access to all of our guests. Our oversized guest rooms feature either one king or two queens, and all have a living room area with a sleeper-sofa, 42" HDTV, and mini-refrigerator. The Hyatt Place Madison/Downtown is conveniently located only 3 blocks to the Capitol Square and Madison's famous State Street, featuring over 200 unique restaurants and shopping. We are also within walking distance to the Kohl Center, Overture Center, Monona Terrace, 3 museums, and less than 2 miles to Alliant Energy Center, Henry Vilas Zoo, Camp Randall and the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus.
